high time finds me caught beneath
the land i thought was in between
panes of glass shed light to see
i look at them to tell the scene
i'm underwater
broken pieces lay around
splintered from the common ground
gathered from my sense unsound
let them down

silhouettes of thoughts unclear
and in the light of the next day
i'll remember, each had its way
the stillness of the broken trees
